Courtesy of Saul Garcia, here with some photos is news of Tiger Model Designs Bergepanther in development.
What you see are castings put together to test part release and fit. Later, changes may be incorporated to enhance detail or ease production. After that, another set of castings will be used to assemble and photograph to illustrate the instructions. In other words, still lots to do besides a winch.

If anyone has any definitive information on radios and their placement in the Bergepanther (from the British Report, for example), TMD would love to see it as it is easier to get it right the first time than have to go back and fix it.

The conversion is designed for the Dragon Panther Smart Kit Ausf. A/D. A later release will be for the Ausf. G. This set may be used as a foundation for a straight Panther interior from TMD at a later time.

I have never seen so much detail in a production Kit, quite awesome.

Certainly is an impressive set up.

Tank Workshop makes a couple of extensive interiors for Tigers, Panthers and the Pz IV. Jaguar also made some good interiors. But with this one, I do agree the enveloppe will be pushed further again. I just hope this will not mean the price for this set will be extensive as well.

Looks very impressive, I hope it will fit in the ICM Bergepanther. I've resisted building it, but this may just tempt me to invest some money in it. CMK do some very tasty interior sets... their Pz.Kpfw. IV sets are superb.

The impression I get is that the set is meant to turn a Dragon Ausf D or Ausf A into a full-blown Bergepanther. The ICM kit represents only the first dozen or so Bergepanthers built which were basically "generic" Panther Ausf Ds less turret and with a simple crane. Later Bergepanthers came with a winch, a rear spade and often a front-mounted 20mm cannon - they were "real" Bergepanthers, built as engineer vehicles, and this seems to be what TMD is producing a conversion and interior for. Of course, this doesn't stop you from building the ICM kit now and doing the TMD converrsion later. I've never seen a pic of the inside of the early Bergepanthers but I imagine they were pretty much standard Panther less ammo bins, etc. Al

This really looks cool, and as already said, it looks more like a regular Panther interier, than a Bergepanther. But as far as I understand it, more is on the way, so crane, whinch, towbars, etc. might be on the way. Verlinden actually makes a decent Bergepanther conversion/update-set for the Italiere kit. I'm into a project of converting a Tamiya late version Panther into a late Bergepanther, using both the Italiere kit and the Verlinden set. I'll send pictures when I'm done. Jacob
