In-Box Review
135
German SS in Greatcoat

by: Anders Heintz [ ANDERSHEINTZ ]

Alpha Image released this figure a while back, and I just knew I would get one. So lets see whats in the box!

Casting
The figure is casted in five creamy white resin pieces, body, head, arms and shovel. The casting is crisp and the details show very nicely. The right arm holding the MG-34 is a very clever design with the sling molded in place which ensures a natural look. On my review figure I found one mold seam line to clean up and no more then two air bubbles, one in the ankle and the other one in the left hand, none of them being major and easy to fix.

Fit of the Kit
The overall fit of this kit is very nice. The head pops right in it's socket so you have the option to paint the head separate from the body without having to worry about the fit later on. The right arm holding the MG-34 fits very nice with out a seam line to fill. Take care to position the left arm to ensure a tight fit. The shovel also fits nicely in its intended socket on the figure. The assembly is straight forward and without any serious trouble.

Conclusion
Alpha Image continues to expand their relatively new 1:35th scale line of figures. This figures natural pose give this figure endless possibilities in dioramas, vignettes or as a single figure. The sculpting is top notch and casting and fit is good. At a price of $9.00 makes this figure very reasonable and affordable. Highly Recommended.
