The packaging is a sturdy cardboard and plastic hanging box with some foam packing material. My package of 1.2mm rivets came through the mails undamaged, but the 0.9mm pack had a lot of snapped off rivets, probably more than fifty altogether. Fortunately the broken off rivets are perfectly good for use and all or most stayed in the package.

Review

To attach them, you drill a hole for the shaft using a pin vise and a very fine drill bit. For the smaller ones I used a #73 (.024) and for the larger a #70 (.028). No problems there, after you mark where they need to go and use the magnifier of choice.

Individual rivets are highly electrostatic and have a strong desire to fly across the table and vanish, or randomly cling to your fingers, clothes, beard, tools, and model. Nevertheless, the result is highly gratifying, giving a good sense of detail after painting. Very little flash and I experienced little variation in the shafts or heads.

In my opinion this accessory is superior to, for instance, cutting rivet heads off another model or trying to form them out of heated sprue. They can be installed with tweezers, or even very deft fingers.

Conclusion

Plusmodel lists them for Euros 6.80, or $9.70 USD. This makes the individual rivets about four cents each, perhaps a bit pricey but cheap enough that you can afford to lose some to the carpet monster.

SUMMARY
Highs: Adds to the look, not difficult to apply.
Lows: Small parts with a mind of their own.
Verdict: A good product to enhance to look of any riveted vehicle or structure. Requires tweezers and Optivisor.

These will prove very useful in an upcoming project that I've been planning on building involving a heck of a lot of Evergreen sprue!

While these look perfectly well formed, the fact that you can get about 150 Grandt Line or Tichy Trains rivets, in styrene, for $2.50-$3.50 makes resin rivets a bit expensive for larger projects. That these are resin also means that you _must_ use either CA or epoxy to secure them to all models, whereas the styrene Grandt or Tichy rivets can be attached to styrene kits or scratchbuilt components with your favourite liquid cement. Frankly that's more than enough reason to not use resin rivets or bolts without the monetary inducement. If you like resin rivets, I'm sure these are a fine product, but there are other rivets out there that have significantly more utility and are cheaper to boot. Paul

Many of the Grandt-line bolts and rivets I bought years ago had the heads off-centered from the shaft but maybe they have improved since then ..... It's a riveting topic though .... Grand Line has rivets in three sizes: 0.032, 0.043 & 0.063 inches (that's 0.81, 1.09 and 1.6 mm for you fans of the metric system out there) Plus Models have sizes 0.5, 0.6, 0,7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4 mm. Tichy Trains have the inch-sizes: 0.020, 0.025, 0.030, 0.035, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06, 0.07 and 0.08 (multiply with 25.4 to get the mm sizes) Depending on the size you need you may need to choose the approriate manufacturer ... / Robin

Depending on size, you get 100-200+ for a paltry $2.35 per pack. That's a whole lotta rivets, man. Oh, they're resin, btw.
