Vladi started BRAVO-6 War Correspondent series with German Kriegsberichter figures, but he did not forget the Allies of World War II. Inspired by a real time photo, new figure B6-35124 is a 1/35 scale resin Red Army Correspondent posed to kneel with his camera in Red Army Uniform. Unlike the British, Germans and Americans who did have such service branches, Soviets do not appear to have had a dedicated war correspondents branch. So they wear standard uniforms with a camera or two.

As in all BRAVO-6 figures, quality is admirable with clean and crisp detailed sculpt and flawless cast. No serious casting mistakes but just vertical seamline on the back and on the legs should be removed. It comes in 8 parts cast in grey resin. Parts are;

Body with head ; Facial details like eyes, mouth, ears and curly hair are well defined. Top of head is carved for the fit of headgear and left side of the mouth is slightly hollowed to add a cigarette as in boxart. Posed to kneel, he wears standard Red Army uniform consisting of traditional Russian soldier’s shirt-tunic - Gymnastiorka M1943 and khaki cotton half-breeches/trousers - Sharovari M1935. Wrinkles, cloth folds, front opening with 3 buttons, high collar with two buttons, breast pockets with buttonized flap covers, big shoulder boards, baggy look of trousers and reinforcement patches on the knees are well represented. He has a thick leather belt on his waist and his footgear is standard issue knee length leather boots.

Arms are posed to hold the camera. Folds and sleeves with buttons are well defined. Right arm is carved for the fit to the knee.

He has a captured German Luger P08 Parabellum in Hardshell holster on the right side.

Two alternative headgear are supplied. First one is fur cap Ushanka in well defined fur texture, ear flaps and red star badge. Second one is military khaki visor cap, nicknamed as Stalinskiy for which a similar cap was worn by Stalin.

His camera is a German Leica - 35 mm rangefinder camera. Left hand is cast on the camera and front cover of leather box is given as a seperate part.

Nice sculpted and cast Soviet War photographer figure that can be displayed alone to make the real time photo or can be used with other figures in World War II Soviet scenes.
