Ratchet lashing straps, also called Tie-downs, are fasteners used to hold down or secure cargo and equipment on military or civilian vehicles during transportation or keeping construction materials in place. These straps are webbing that is outfitted with tie down hardware. This hardware allows the tie down strap to attach or loop over the cargo directly or attach to the area surrounding the cargo or equipment. It usually includes a method of tensioning the strap, such as a ratchet.

Miryoku.cz has a sharply etched brass set - MIR/001 depicting Ratchet lashing straps in 1/35 scale.

  • It comes inside a rectangular transparent bag and secured with a hard cardboard. The bag includes Photoetched fret for ratchets, sprue for straps and instruction sheet showing the assembly of ratchet.

  • PE fret includes parts marked as PE-1 to 3 to make six ratchets and twelve J-shaped hooks - PE4 for straps. Details on the parts are very well defined and they can be easily removed from brass fret. Note that as shown on the how to guide, you will need plastic or wire to make pins for ratchets.

  • Straps are made of real textile and produced in cooperation with HGW Models. 4 Light blue, 2 yellow and 2 red straps. They are strong but easy to bend and glue.

This is a very useful set to be used in all modern military vehicles , civilian trucks or dioramas.

    Highly Recommended
