Introduction

The 37mm flak gun was used in large numbers by Germany during World War II. JB Model.eu now provide you with ammunition in turned brass to accompany any model that utilises the 37mm flak gun, the crisp detail turned brass rounds give you when looking for that extra detail cannot be beat. The other big plus of course is that nothing looks more like a brass shell casing than brass.

Contents

The product is supplied in a clear zip lock bag, with a white label attached containing all the information on the product. The zip lock bag is stapled to a card sleeve, which has the suppliers details printed on it, the product is then posted in a jiffy bag (padded envelope) in order to protect the product during transit.
  • Six turned brass armour-piercing rounds
  • Six turned brass high explosive
  • Six turned brass shell casings
Review

The six turned brass armour-piercing rounds are all identical, without any variation in the round. The shells all have what appears to be a percussion cap centred on the base plate, and for such small items are nicely detailed. The six turned brass high-explosive shells are also of the same high standard, being nicely finished and detailed with again what appears to be the percussion cap. The six turned brass shell casings are also nicely detailed, with the end being drilled out where the shell would be.

Conclusion

Eighteen rounds in turned brass of two different types and the empty shell casings for eur4.42, I believe each round carries more detail than what could be achieved or expected in injection moulded plastic. If you want that extra detail you would be hard pushed to beat this offering in terms of value for money and detail.

Please be aware that if purchased in Europe a 20% VAT charge is placed on the order making the price of this product eur5.30 approx.
SUMMARY
Highs: A good number of shells of a high quality at a fair price, what more is there to say.
Lows: None that I am aware of.
Verdict: If you want accuracy on a budget this product is for you. I have yet to be disappointed with a product from this company.
